Summit Scaffolding, a successful and growing scaffolding company with offices in Dublin and Wexford, main depot in Wexford are now recruiting a Yard Hand/General Operative. The position is based in our Dublin Yard in Rathcoole.The Yard Hand is a key figure of the team primarily responsible for the overall success of the efficient day to day running of the yard, loading and unloading lorries, operating a forklift and teleporter, safe organisation of materials, keeping the yard tidy. This position is for a Yard Hand/General Operative the successful candidate may be asked to carry out general labour should it be required. A candidate for this position should possess excellent organisational skills, be driven and motivated to learn.Required:Full driving LicenseMust be 23 or overMain Roles and Responsibilities:To oversee the day to day running of the yardBuilding and maintaining strong working relationships with excellent communication skillsPreparing gear lists for new and existing projects.Ensuring the health and safety of all yard users by keeping the yard neat and tidyLiaising with company managers to ensure that all necessary material requirements are met on all projectsPreparation of materials prior to delivery to sitesLoading materials on to the Lorry for deliveryQualified to operate a forklift and teleporterThe Successful Candidate Would Possess:A good knowledge of scaffoldingQualified to operate a teleporter and forkliftSolid knowledge of health and safety working within the industry including HSA regulationStrong focus on safety, client satisfaction and customer service.Be self-motivated and drivenAbility to work as part o a team and on own initiativeBasic computer skills an advantage but not essential as all training will be givenA standalone individual who will get the job doneBe 25 or over with a full clean driving licenceSalarySalary negotiableFull time, excellent career prospects for the right individualJob Type: Full-timePay: €27,000.00-€38,223.30 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Dublin, CO.
