Overview
A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior APAC Payroll Specialist to join their Dublin-based HR team on an initial contract basis.
This role will focus on supporting payroll operations across multiple APAC jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing within a fast-paced, multinational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Finance, Tax, and external payroll vendors across the region.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple APAC countries
Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across all payroll cycles
Prepare and review payroll inputs including salary changes, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and tax adjustments
Liaise with HR, Finance, Tax, and external payroll providers to resolve payroll queries and discrepancies
Support payroll reconciliations, accruals, reporting, and month-end close activities
Ensure compliance with local payroll legislation and statutory requirements across APAC jurisdictions
Conduct payroll audits and reviews to identify discrepancies and support process improvements
Maintain accurate employee payroll records across payroll systems
Assist with payroll reporting requirements for internal stakeholders and external auditors
Support payroll process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
4–6+ years’ experience within payroll, ideally with strong APAC payroll exposure
Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and compliance requirements across APAC regions
Previous experience within a multinational or financial services environment advantageous
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Experience with systems such as UKG, NetSuite, Workday, or similar payroll platforms
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
