The Finance Manager will lead a team of junior and senior associates, delivering high-quality professional services to a portfolio of clients. The role involves supporting the Corporate Services team in managing ongoing client company requirements and reporting to an Associate Director or Director of Corporate Services. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and ensuring tax compliance within local regulatory regimes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, organize, and complete tasks to meet client engagement requirements, including adherence to reporting deadlines.
2. Seek continuous improvement of methods and processes to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Deliver accurate financial information, including management and statutory accounts, to clients and auditors; ensure timely filing of corporation tax, VAT, and Central Bank returns.
4. Perform and review regulatory and tax reporting, quarterly and annual management accounts, and year-end financial statements.
5. Stay updated on financial reporting and regulatory changes.
6. Follow Waystone's Code of Conduct and lead by example.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Assist with ad-hoc projects and requirements from the Director/Associate Director.
9. Prepare and review board meeting packs and present at board meetings.
10. Escalate issues to the Director/Associate Director as they arise.
11. Adhere to internal procedures, ensure timely completion of learnings, and propose service improvement changes.
12. Collaborate effectively across the Waystone Group to develop solutions.
13. Lead and monitor team projects within the Corporate Services unit.
14. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and client requirements.
15. Liaise with payroll to process payroll and reports, ensuring tax deadlines are met.
16. Provide financial information to clients and stakeholders.
17. Manage staff development, providing guidance, training, and performance monitoring.

Experience:

* At least 2 years PQE in a similar finance role, with strong technical accounting skills including tax and financial reporting.
* High customer focus and client service experience at management level within structured finance or corporate services.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting packages like Xero, Sage, or SAP is desirable.
* Experience managing people is preferred.

Education:

* Partly qualified accountant working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
* University degree in accounting or business.
