The Enterprise Engineering (EE) Unified Communications team provides globally scaled, high-quality voice and video communications solutions that support Amazonians around the world.
Our services touch every element of the business every day: corporate offices, customer service teams, fulfillment centers, a diverse development community, and many more.
We are looking for an innovative Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our mission.
You and your team of engineers will build new products and services that deliver exceptional experiences for Amazon.
You will collaborate with other EE product teams to make services available to Amazon and inform product roadmaps.
The team you will join is tasked with developing and supporting new and existing telecommunication solutions Amazonians use on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background in real-time communications services, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be a great communicator.
They possess knowledge of product design and post-production support, and will have the technical expertise to influence the team and leadership using data, delivering robust solutions that create great customer experiences.
You will also possess program-management experience, have led small to medium projects, and have a well-rounded technical background in current technologies.
As a Technical Program Manager, your responsibilities include document creation, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch.
You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints.
This role is customer-facing for key internal telephony solutions, so experience in working closely with stakeholders and providing regular updates is essential.
You should have experience working with full-stack teams across a diverse range of technologies.
You have excellent judgment and high standards.
You are articulate, persuasive, and a good writer.
Basic Qualifications
Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
Fluency in English (minimum CEFR level C1) required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
