The Role: * Support the Technical Manager in maintaining and developing food safety, quality, and compliance standards across the site.
* Liaise with auditing bodies and customers, ensuring audit readiness and compliance at all times.
* Monitor and report on KPIs, addressing non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
* Oversee adherence to HACCP principles, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
* Promote good factory practices and ensure production teams uphold the highest quality standards.
* Conduct investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
* Manage documentation, technical reports, and corrective action plans accurately and efficiently.
* Collaborate with other departments and approved service suppliers to ensure consistent quality output.
The Person: * Degree or HND in a food-related discipline.
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in a technical role within a high-volume food production environment.
* Strong working knowledge of HACCP, customer and regulatory standards, DAFM requirements, and local legislation.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to influence and engage across all levels of the business.
* Confident in root cause analysis, record keeping, and audit preparation.
* Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong report writing and data analysis skills.
* Commercially aware, adaptable, and proactive with a passion for food and continuous improvement.
