You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing the data infrastructure that underpins the core of the client's product.In this role, you will take ownership of designing robust data ingestion, ETL, and data processing workflows.
You will bring a strong foundation in data architecture, data engineering best practices, and hands-on engineering experience to translate complex logic into production-grade, scalable solutions.We are looking for someone deeply curious, autonomous, and methodical—an engineer who consistently seeks to improve through research, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
What you will do: - Architect, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines to collect, process, and transform large datasets.
- Translate analytical or data science logic into production-ready, robust engineering solutions.
- Design and optimize data models, storage solutions, and database structures for efficient data retrieval, analysis, and processing.
- Implement ETL/ELT workflows and ensure best practices in data modeling, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
- Work with containers and cloud-native tools (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage data workflows.
- Leverage Azure cloud services to build and maintain modern data infrastructure.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across all layers of the data ecosystem.
- Evaluate and integrate external data sources, services, and vendor tooling when needed.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends in data engineering, workflow orchestration, and MLOps-adjacent tooling (, Airflow, Dagster, MLflow, HEAT).
What you will bring: - 5+ years of experience delivering data engineering solutions in a collaborative, production-focused environment.
- Proficiency in Python, with the ability to translate analytical logic into maintainable, high-quality code.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with containers, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and cloud-based data architecture.
- Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT workflows, data pipelines, and distributed data processing solutions.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Dagster, or ML tooling such as MLflow.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and deliver results.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Nice to have: - Experience with HEAT or similar data engineering/MLOps platforms.
- Previous exposure to simulation, analytics, healthcare, insurance, or fintech industries.
- Experience working in early-stage or fast-moving environments where processes evolve rapidly.
