Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Engagement Officer. This exciting role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of volunteers and communities across Dublin City.
In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for supporting volunteer placements, coordinating events, and helping to deliver an inclusive volunteering service. You will work closely with the current Engagement Team to ensure that our volunteer placement service is accessible and quality-focused.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to volunteering and excellent communication skills. They will also possess strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to adjust and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

About the Role
The Volunteer Engagement Officer will be responsible for:
* Facilitating the placement of individuals seeking to volunteer by providing tailored supports including identification of suitable roles and up-to-date information on the application process.
* Actively focusing on increasing the placement rate of volunteers throughout Dublin City.
* Utilising Salesforce to report on, quality check and analyse placement-related volunteer data, including monitoring compliance dashboards and follow-up surveys.
* Engaging in continuous evaluation and improvement of processes in the placement service, along with the Volunteer Engagement & Inclusion Officer.
* Planning, organising and delivering volunteering events, physical or virtual, such as Meet the Organisation, Get Started Volunteering, Volunteer Information Evenings, etc, supporting Inclusion events as needed.
* Contributing high-quality content for the website and other communications platforms in line with the Communications Plan.
* Assisting with the recruitment and day-to-day supervision of the in-house volunteers involved with the Engagement Team.
* Coordinating tasks for the in-house Engagement Team volunteers ensuring that registrations, applications and follow-up steps are processed and completed in an accurate and timely fashion according to established procedures.
* Supporting the Community Volunteers programme by working in conjunction with the Community Volunteers Officer to encourage volunteers to join the programme and take part in events.
