By Your Side Early Intervention Preschool are looking for a senior ABA tutor to join our preschool.Previous experience working with children with autism is a must, the ideal candidate musthave a few years experience in working with preschool children with autism. The ideal candidate must be confident in managing challenging behaviours using principles of ABA.Minimum Qualification Requirement: Level 8 in Childcare, sociology, psychology.Duties include;- Key Duty> Managing & supporting the other tutors to manage challenging behaviours in the class.Working with preschool aged children with autism (3 children at a time in a small group setting).Engage with the children in a fun and creative manner.Multi-task, keep the children safe and engaged during their group sessions.Plan stimulating activities that are tailored to their individual abilities.Implement any specific behaviour support plans or programmes set out by the behaviour specialist.Encourage the use of communication at all times, through words, sign, PECS as appropriate to the child.-Assist in the overall running of the classroom, i.e. snack time, outdoor play, circle time etc.Help with care tasks where necessary such as nappy changing the children, helping with feeding where required, assisting with wearing coats, implementing toilet training programmes.To promote a positive work environment and engage and play with the children.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From €18.50 per hourBenefits:Additional leaveCompany eventsOn-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:Tyrrelstown, CO.
