CRPS Ireland is a newly established non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in Ireland. We aim to provide resources, advocacy, and community for those living with this debilitating condition. Our current aims are to:Offer Education: Provide reliable information and resources about CRPS to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Community Support: Create a supportive network for people with CRPS and their families to connect, share experiences, and access resources.Raise Awareness: Increase public understanding of CRPS and its impact on individuals and families.Advocate: Advocate for the needs of people with CRPS and their families in the healthcare system and beyond.To help us achieve our goals, we are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our inaugural Board of Directors. We are looking for a diverse group of people with a range of skills and experience who share our commitment to improving the lives of people with CRPS.Specifically, we are seeking individuals with expertise in the following areas:Healthcare: Medical professionals with experience in pain management, neurology, or rehabilitation.Legal: Lawyers with experience in disability rights, healthcare law, or non-profit law.Fundraising: Individuals with experience in non-profit fundraising, grant writing, or corporate sponsorships.Communications: Individuals with experience in public relations, marketing, or social media.Finance: Individuals with experience in accounting, financial management, or non-profit finance.Patient Advocacy: Individuals with lived experience of CRPS, either as a patient or caregiver.Community Outreach: Individuals with experience in community building, volunteer management, or social work.Human Resources: Individuals with experience in human resources management, recruitment, or training.Technology: Individuals with experience in website development, social media management, or data analytics.Government Relations: Individuals with experience in lobbying, government relations, or public policy.Responsibilities of Board Members:Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organisation.Ensure the organisation's financial stability and sustainability.Advocate for the needs of people with CRPS.Raise awareness of CRPS in Ireland.Represent the organisation at public events.Time Commitment:Attend quarterly board meetings.Participate in committee work as needed.Attend CRPS Ireland events and fundraisers.To Apply:Please submit a letter of interest and your CVWe strongly encourage applications from people with lived experience of CRPS, as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.Join us in making a difference in the lives of people with CRPS in Ireland.
