Overview
The role provides medical physics services and scientific support to ensure diagnostic modalities are functioning safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards. It includes day-to-day management for delivery of medical physics services and technical quality assurance (QA) programmes across CHI. The role also provides scientific and technical expertise and supports management activities in delivering high-quality services in a multi-disciplinary environment for diagnostic imaging, radiation protection, nuclear medicine, MRI, ultrasound and lasers.
The role will extend to assist the equipment team in supporting CHI clinical users to install and commission healthcare technology equipment, which will integrate with ICT systems implemented in the National Children’s Hospital Ireland (NCHI) and Paediatric OPD & Urgent Care Centres.
Essential Criteria
* Hold a recognised first or second class honours degree in which Physics was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject, or hold a recognised qualification at least equivalent to thereto
* Hold a recognised Masters in Medical Physics or equivalent.
