Purpose Of The Role
Leadership and management of the Production Team to achieve our business goals and objectives on a continuous basis, always seeking and implementing ways to improve. Promote teamwork and close collaboration across the departments and our people. Conduct team performance reviews and improvement, plan and react to forecasted demand. Coach, develop and performance manage the team to deliver their goals and objectives. Ensure the wider team are well led, motivated and engaged to deliver best value and service for our customers.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement Projects
Bi-weekly meetings with planning and recruitment on staffing availability and projections, in line with mid/long-term planning strategy.
Daily review of production schedules and sign off on labour and cost targets
Weekly meetings with planning to review following week and monthly and quarterly production plans and ability to deliver in line with short-term planning strategy.
Work with project teams to bring new packing solutions as new products
Determine costs of production including start up and changeovers for new SKU formats
Manage team leaders and team performance
Cross-functional involvement with packaging, goods in, supply chain, transport, planning
Involvement with planning on resourcing planning/skills matrix and training plans
Ensure overall packhouse standards are maintained in accordance with site procedures
Actively promote health & safety standards, engage in implementing health and safety protocols, and contribute to a risk-free work environment for all, playing a crucial role in mitigating workplace risks and promoting the well-being of all team members.
