The primary purpose of your role is to maintain and further develop the Banks impairment and capital forecasting processes. The impairment (Expected Credit Loss) and capital (Risk Weighted Asset) forecasts underpin the quantification of short to medium term Pillar 1 (credit) regulatory capital requirements while Pillar 2 capital assists the Bank to assess its internal capital.

As an Analyst in the Forecasting and Capital Optimisation Team you will play the role of translator understanding how complex credit models work while being able to explain key movements in plain English to colleagues across the business with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

* Calculation of ECL, Impairment P&L charge and RWA for forecast scenarios
* Produce high quality `value-add analysis and insights across portfolios to support the Banks strategy and share with internal and external stakeholders.
* Analyse results from the forecasting and Pillar 2 models, understand model outcomes and explain the movement in results from previous recent results.
* Identify capital allocation insights and make appropriate recommendations in respect of the capital optimisation strategies where appropriate.
* Engage with numerous business areas in order to ensure all work undertaken is up to date and that assumptions are aligned between teams where necessary.
* Supporting internal and external stress testing activity.

Requirements:

* 1+ years experience working as an analyst in a banking or finance related field.
* 2:1 Honours Bachelors Degree (NFQ Level 8) in a financial/economics/mathematical or associated subject area.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with proven skills summarising and interpreting large volumes of data and translating into meaningful insights.
* Aspiration to become subject matter expert on credit loss quantification.
* An interest in developing programming languages experience

This is a permanent role based in Dublin (Hybrid).
