Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Our team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our production engineering department. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and implementing daily and weekly preventative maintenance schedules for all production equipment, ensuring that tasks are completed compliantly and on time. Additionally, this role will involve setting up manufacturing equipment within the production environment, recording inputs, working with the equipment manager to set up new equipment task plans and material lists, and delegating, training, and mentoring junior team members in maintenance and engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and implement daily and weekly preventative maintenance schedules for all production equipment
* Set up manufacturing equipment within the production environment
* Record and verify inputs
* Work with the equipment manager to set up new equipment task plans and material lists
* Delegate, train, and mentor junior team members in maintenance and engineering activities
* Lead on the identification and implementation of process improvements within manufacturing processes
* Support equipment installation process through Infor EAM
* Lead on resolution of significant equipment breakdowns in production areas and record in Infor EAM
* Review maintenance schedules and task plans on an ongoing basis and propose improvements
* Deliver process improvements/continuous improvement activities as required
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will require a minimum of 7 years' experience in a production or technical support role, preferably with a Production/Technical qualification (Level 7). You should also be proficient in A3/DMAIC methodology, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work well under pressure. Knowledge of medical device quality standards/practices or similar regulated industry would be advantageous.
