We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department at UPMC Whitfield Hospital in Waterford. This is an 11 month fixed term contract, providing an opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Participate in the general radiography service on a daily basis in assigned areas and undertake training for up-skilling and development within the profession.
* Maintain high standards in patient care and radiographic techniques, ensuring adherence to radiation protection principles and local rules.
* Comply with directives of statutory instruments and maintain up-to-date clinical and technical knowledge.
* Report equipment faults and participate in routine Q.A. procedures and accreditation processes as required.
* Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and other staff at departmental level and throughout the hospital.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers, validated by the Department of Health.
* At least 1-2 years' experience in a Radiography Department, with good working knowledge of RIS systems and ability to manage in a rapidly changing environment.
* Demonstrable expertise in CT and DEXA imaging, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
