About This Role
The finance department head will oversee daily accounting and banking operations, preparing quarterly financial reports.
This role requires collaboration with the CEO and other department heads to finalize funding requirements and budget forecasts.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on management accounting experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, as is attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting and banking
* Prepare quarterly financial reports and management accounts
* Collaborate with the CEO and other department heads to finalize funding requirements and budget forecasts
* Negotiate with relevant bodies to secure funding and manage spend throughout the financial year
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Fully qualified accountant with a relevant professional accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
* Previous experience in charity and not-for-profit sectors (either directly or via audit experience) is beneficial
* Strong team player who is genuinely committed to supporting colleagues in delivering exceptional service to the community
