Key Responsibilities and End Results
Act as the point of contact for vendors, contractors, and sales representatives for plant and facility works in general.
Seek quotations from external vendors and oversee contract works to standards approved by Jabil.
Liaise with in-house cleaning contractor to ensure cleaning standards are maintained and service contract requirements are met across the site.
Ensure all site and grounds maintenance is completed in line with contract and site expectations.
Maintain records of all facilities-related tasks/operations to meet auditing requirements for internal/external auditors, customers, and Jabil corporate representatives.
Coordinate all site facility activity in conjunction with EHS standards and technical requirements.
Participate/lead/own MMCR, CAPA, PCF, NCE activities as required to meet QA/Ops site requirements.
Oversee critical plant equipment and all third-party inspections/interventions, as well as in-house PM inspections and interventions on electrical systems, distribution, transformers, cleanroom AHU, humidifiers, coolers, chillers, water supplies, lighting, compressed air systems, sprinklers, fire-preventative equipment, and site vacuum systems.
Maintain and oversee canteen and office equipment.
Monitor and maintain cleanrooms and associated building management system records through the site BMS system.
Identify non-compliance events and take appropriate action when the BMS drifts or goes out of specification to maintain cleanroom compliance for temperature, humidity, fresh air intake, and air pressure parameters as per QBMS.
Plan, coordinate, and ensure all facilities works comply with required specifications, regulatory requirements, quality of work, and safety standards, including GMP/GDP specifications.
Support the Operations and Engineering Manager with day-to-day activities such as change controls, NPI introductions, production ramps, and new projects.
Drive continuous improvement in facilities operations in terms of performance, cost, and efficiency (utility usage, cost control/reduction).
Respond to breakdowns and repair equipment as part of day-to-day maintenance.
Manage environmental monitoring and pest control as per site QPM.
Meet all FM Global program requirements – Impairment Notification, Hot Work.
Work agreed shift patterns as scheduled and remain flexible for plant/customer site needs.
Agree on outside work hours on a case-by-case basis, as approved by site leadership.
Become proficient in Jabil Bronze Belt lean problem-solving tools and standards.
Collaborate and communicate with all work cell and functional leaders.
Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
Ensure ongoing GMP compliance in all practices, recording of events and processes.
Apply learnings from all GMP training events.
Job Specifications
Senior trade stocks: Electrical/Mechanical essential.
Degree in Engineering or related discipline advantageous.
5+ years' experience in facilities or related role essential.
Experience working in a medical device/pharmaceutical environment advantageous.
Skills/Attributes
In-depth knowledge of plant systems, preferably in medical device/pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with a preventive maintenance system.
Systematic troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work well independently.
Experience with compressed air, air handling, fire prevention, building management, and industrial water systems.
Ability to read P&IDs/schematics.
