Job Summary
The Forklift Operative is responsible for loading and unloading trailers accurately, ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include following Good Distribution Practices to maintain safety and compliance, scanning, logging, and sorting incoming and outgoing freight, picking, staging, and preparing customer orders, matching items to delivery paperwork.
Additionally, the role involves keeping warehouse and yard areas clean, organized, and safe, verifying deliveries against dockets, and supporting stock control activities.
Requirements include a valid Counterbalance Forklift License, previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory systems, high attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude.
As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient movement of goods, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
