The Role:

Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) is seeking a Programme Coordinator for the Ideas Made Real outreach programme at Senior Researcher level on a 23-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in the creation and delivery of these educational initiatives, including the design and facilitation of workshops, events, lesson plans, and teacher training that connect directly to the Irish curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop project-based STEM workshops and resources for primary and post-primary schools, linked to the Irish curriculum.
* Facilitate engaging, hands-on learning events for students and teachers.
* Create lesson plans, toolkits, and teacher training materials to support classroom delivery.
* Schedule workshops, visits, and events in collaboration with schools and project partners.
* Coordinate logistics for programme activities, ensuring smooth delivery.
* Host and manage end-of-programme events and showcases.
* Build strong relationships with schools to promote STEM opportunities and encourage participation.
* Support and/or lead sponsorship and funding proposal writing.
* Manage sponsorship agreements and stakeholder partnerships.
* Oversee programme budgets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Prepare progress reports for funded projects.
* Coordinate programme marketing and promotion to increase visibility and impact with the marketing department.

Required
Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree (e.g. Education, Youth Work, Engineering, Science, or related discipline) or equivalent relevant experience.
* Experience working directly with school-age children and engaging them in learning.
* Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (for school visits).
* Ability to create and curate digital and interactive educational content.
* Strong communication skills: confident speaking with small and large groups (students, teachers, and stakeholders) and clear, effective written communication.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Demonstrated experience managing budgets, marketing, reporting, and stakeholder relationships.
* Computer literacy, with proficiency in standard office applications.
* Strong report writing and presentation skills.
* Knowledge in 3D Printing, would be an advantage.
* A good understanding of the Irish school curriculum would be an advantage.
* Familiarity with the use of technology in a teaching environment, would be an advantage.
* Experience delivering STEM workshops/lessons in a formal/informal learning setting, would be an advantage.

Location:

IMR offices are located in Rathcoole, Co Dublin and Mullingar, Co Westmeath. This position will be based in either our Rathcoole or Mullingar office. We offer a hybrid working model. Travel between offices and schools will be required.

Salary & Benefits:

This position will command a package consisting of basic salary (€50,168 - €55,835 depending on qualifications and experience), employer pension contribution and 5 weeks holidays.
