Events Operations Manager Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the operational delivery of high-end events across the South West. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the complete execution of catered events, from planning through to post-event review.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end execution of events, ensuring seamless planning, setup, live service, and breakdown.
* Act as the key on-site representative, managing event flow, timelines, and client expectations.
* Guarantee that all events meet quality, presentation, and customer experience standards.
* Recruit, train, and manage event and service staff across multiple sites within the region.
* Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring labour efficiency and budget compliance.
* Provide coaching and feedback to develop staff performance and promote professionalism and teamwork.
* Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the planning and delivery stages of each event.
* Build strong relationships with venue partners, suppliers, and local producers.
* Organise event logistics including equipment, transport, inventory, and on-site setup.
* Monitor compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
* Track key performance indicators including costs, resource utilisation, and event outcomes.
Requirements:
* Proven leadership in event operations, hospitality, or catered event environments.
* Strong communicator with impeccable organisation and problem-solving skills.
* Able to lead teams and remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments.
