Electrical Engineer (Water Treatment)
Cork / Limerick | €60,000 – €80,000 + Benefits | Permanent
We’re partnering with a leading engineering and infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer for ongoing water and wastewater treatment projects in the Cork and Limerick areas.
The Role
You’ll take the lead on commissioning and optimisation of electrical and control systems across water treatment facilities. This includes overseeing testing, validation, and integration of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure efficient and compliant plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
Commission and test electrical control and instrumentation systems on water/wastewater sites
Perform fault diagnostics and ensure system optimisation and reliability
Carry out FAT/SAT and site validation in line with project standards
Review electrical drawings, control panels, and I/O documentation
Liaise with project teams to deliver safe, on-time commissioning outcomes
Ensure compliance with all quality and safety procedures
About You
Qualified Electrical Engineer or Electrician (Instrumentation/Electrical trade)
5+ years’ experience in commissioning within the water or wastewater sector
Strong understanding of PLC/SCADA and process control systems
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Flexible to travel between project sites in the Munster region
Package Includes
€60,000 – €75,000 depending on experience
