We are currently recruiting for a Lab Analyst (Microbiology) to join our team in Cork on a 12-month contract.
The Lab Analyst is responsible for in-process and final product quality analyses and inspections, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include performing routine chemical and microbiological analyses accurately and timely, leading or assisting with laboratory validation studies/projects.
Key Responsibilities:Interpret and evaluate analyses for accuracy and precision against established specifications.Perform routine chemical and microbiological analyses, including sample collection and preparation across shifts.Identify ongoing quality issues, prevent potential production issues, and suggest improvements.Use measuring devices, testing equipment, and prescribed methods to accept or reject products.Work from blueprints, diagrams, and inspection instructions.Complete periodic reviews and schedule/close out annual preventative maintenance (Maximo).Generate and complete work orders for equipment repairs.Assist in completing the annual budget.Identify and lead Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs).Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline (minimum).Preferred: Bachelor (Hons) or Master's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.Strong microbiology technical knowledge (HPLC, endotoxin testing), with troubleshooting and validation experience.Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.Technical understanding of chemical and microbiological processes.Benefits and Development:Competitive salary package including fixed salary, bonus, pension, and health insurance.Flexible work environment with supportive colleagues.Opportunities for career growth and development.Visit > to see how you can make an impact.
