Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Recruiter to lead contractor and freelancer recruitment across our Europe. We are offering an initial 12 month fixed term contract for this role.

As part of our European talent acquisition team, this role ensures that our business secures the best independent workers - whether sourced through agencies or directly from our own networks. You will partner closely with hiring managers, internal recruitment teams, and agencies; oversee recruitment processes, and build candidate relationships to secure top talent for both short- and long-term business needs.

Responsibilities

* Work closely with hiring managers and internal recruiters to define recruitment needs and plan the hiring process for contractors and freelancers.
* Secure independent workers no matter the source - via agencies or directly through referrals, social media, networking, and events.
* Balance agency-sourced talent with direct hires to optimize cost efficiency and quality.
* Act as the primary point of contact for recruitment agencies; deliver clear and detailed agency briefings on role requirements, candidate profiles, timelines, and expectations.
* Negotiate and review agency terms & conditions, with particular focus on liability, compliance, and service-level agreements.
* Monitor agency performance, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines and quality standards.
* Resolve disputes or contractual issues, protecting the company's interests.
* Build and maintain an internal pipeline of contractors and freelancers to meet both immediate and future workforce needs.
* Create and publish job adverts and social media campaigns to attract independent professionals.
* Conduct phone and video interviews to assess candidate suitability.
* Coordinate and manage hiring team interviews, ensuring smooth communication and scheduling.
* Manage the offer process and negotiations with contractors, freelancers, and agencies.
* Maintain and update the applicant tracking system for accurate reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

* University degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies, or a related field.
* Minimum 7 years of experience in end-to-end recruiting or talent acquisition including experience with contractor/freelancer markets.
* Experience in recruiting construction project managers, cost managers and project controls specialists preferred.
* Strong understanding of agency contracts, liability considerations, and compliance in recruitment.
* Passion for recruiting and finding top talent in challenging environments.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good negotiation skills with the ability to manage agency contracts and candidate offers effectively.
* Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, agencies, and candidates.
* Motivated, flexible, and results-driven mindset.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
* Fluent English language skills plus other European languages desirable
