Warehouse Associate – Shannon
This is an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate with a Shannon-based client.
The position is a permanent role offering a highly attractive package for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Loading and Unloading:
* Safely load and unload freight vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT).
* Receive and process goods inwards.
* Efficiently store stock in designated warehouse locations using a Reach FLT (with racks up to 7 meters high).
* Picking and Packing:
* Accurately pick and pack orders from stock, following the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
* Prepare orders for dispatch, including pallet building.
* Inventory Management:
* Input transport bookings into the freight system for tracking and management.
* Coordinate with domestic transport companies to arrange timely collection and delivery.
* Communicate effectively with external customers, suppliers, and contractors.
* Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, finance, and management, to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
* Stock Control:
* Participate in regular stock-taking and cycle counting procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment through consistent housekeeping duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A valid and up-to-date Counterbalance and Reach FLT License.
* Current Manual Handling Certificate.
* At least two years’ experience working in a warehouse environment, particularly in fast-paced settings involving groupage loading.
* Proven ability to accurately pick stock with strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems for data entry.
* Strong command of both written and spoken English.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.
* Strong customer service orientation and commitment to meeting customer needs.
* Flexibility to undertake additional duties as required.
Benefits:
* Permanent contract, subject to a six-month probation period.
* Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
