A prominent HSE position has arisen in our civils team.
As a Senior Project HSE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in fostering safe working practices and ensuring the implementation of our company's health, safety and environmental policy and procedures on the project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading by Example: Supervise, support and guide all project safety advisors under your control to promote a culture of safety excellence.
* Safety Management: Promote safe working practices and manage the implementation of company health, safety and environmental policy and procedures on the project.
* Risk Assessment: Carry out regular site health, safety and environmental inspections and report findings to relevant personnel.
* Documentation: Ensure that the project team has been provided with the relevant health, safety and environmental documentation.
* HSE Compliance: Ensure that health, safety and environmental project plans meet company standards.
* Incident Investigation: Support the site management team and sub-contractor owners with risk assessments and sub-contractor evaluations and documentation review when requested.
* Training and Development: Deliver health, safety and environmental training where appropriate and as agreed with the Project Manager.
* Prevention and Improvement: Suggest, communicate and promote initiatives for incident prevention and forward to the Project Manager / HSE & Sustainability Manager for consideration.
* Supporting the Team: Support the Project Manager in incident investigation and monitoring the adequacy and timely close out of incident reporting and health, safety and environmental inspections.
* Regulatory Compliance: Liaising with the relevant legal authorities (i.e. H.S.A, EPA etc.).
* Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify ideas for health, safety and environmental improvement and issues submitting to the project manager and the HSE & Sustainability manager for consideration.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Attend relevant health, safety and environmental meetings as required.
* Business Support: Assist managers with safety and environmental submissions, risk assessments and vendor evaluations when requested.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a health and safety-related field.
* 8 years' experience in project health, safety and environmental management.
* Chartered membership of IOSH.
* Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
* Capable of leading major accident investigations internally.
