Dietitian Acute Medforce are pleased to bring to market this Dietitian role in a well-known University Hospital in Galway. This role will provide an evidence-based dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients at Portiuncula, with the goal of improving health outcomes through nutritional assessment, education, and intervention. I will consider Staff or Senior candidates. Responsibilities of Dietitian Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of patients referred by the medical team. Develop individualized care plans based on patients' medical, nutritional, and psychosocial needs. Provide dietetic advice and education to patients, families, and carers, ensuring clear understanding and adherence to treatment protocols. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary interventions and adjust plans as required. Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams (including physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and others) to ensure optimal nutritional care for all patients. Maintain patient records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards. Support hospital-based initiatives to promote health and nutrition. Provide input into the development of patient information leaflets and resources. Deliver presentations and training sessions for healthcare staff, students, and community groups as appropriate. Participate in service development, audit, and research activities to enhance clinical standards. Adhere to the policies, procedures, and governance protocols of the HSE and Portiuncula University Hospital. Ensure ongoing professional development in accordance with CORU requirements. Supervise and support dietetic students on clinical placement, as required. Responsibilities of Dietitian BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent. CORU registration as a Dietitian is essential. Membership of the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI) is desirable. Previous experience in a clinical dietetic role (hospital setting preferred). #MEDAHP
