Cloud Transformation Lead
We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Transformation Lead to spearhead our organisation's migration to cloud infrastructure.
This strategic role will drive the adoption of DevOps practices, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable application delivery.
The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to align DevOps strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and deliver the organisation's cloud strategy, including roadmap and timelines.
* Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration across development, operations, and cloud engineering.
* Implement automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments, leveraging AWS and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
* Oversee cloud infrastructure, tooling, and scalable solution design, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise application and infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes.
* Manage vendor relationships and incident response processes, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
* Ensure system resilience through robust backup and disaster recovery practices, maintaining compliance evidence for audit and governance purposes.
* Drive continuous testing, quality assurance, and process improvement, staying current with emerging DevOps technologies and best practices.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure infrastructure supports deployment needs, providing strategic planning and technical expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Leadership experience: 5-7+ years in IT/cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record of leading on-prem to cloud migrations.
* Technical expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), Git, and CI/CD pipelines, with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS).
* Offshore team management: Experience managing distributed teams and large-scale environments, with strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-management skills.
* Strategic planning: Ability to develop and implement cloud strategies, aligning business objectives with technical capabilities.
* Process-driven: Proven ability to work in high-governance, fast-paced environments, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency gains.
