Job Title: Access to Care Advisor
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Access to Care Advisor. As a key member of the hospital staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to ensure seamless patient care and hospital operations.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all contractor, visitor, and patient pathways daily
* Adhere to policies and procedures, and ensure a professional service is delivered
* Manage car park enquires, call volumes, voicemails, Healthlink, referrals, outpatient clinic diary schedules, admissions, and end-of-day cash reporting
* Work in conjunction with the Clinical team, Consultants, Access to Care Team leader & Manager
* Ensure the smooth running of all admissions
* Manage DNA & cancellations, and communicate to all relevant departments
* Action reports daily, and distribute internally and externally as required
* Liaise with the Theatre scheduling and medical records team each day on patient bookings
* Follow uniform policy reference General
* Participate in the development of performance indicators in conjunction with your department manager and the business objectives
* Initiate, participate in and evaluate audit according to JCI, Hospital policy and Lean requirements under the guidance and supported by an audit lead
* Ensure safety, health and welfare at work, and report anything potentially dangerous at work of which they become aware
* Attend an education sessions on Fire Health & safety on an annual basis
* Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information
* Participate in the planning, monitoring, analysing and improvement of all quality programmes
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Excellent customer care skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders
* Knowledge of Microsoft packages and a Hospital Administrative System
* Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-based environment with flexibility in roster to ensure all patients are checked in by the end of the day
