Manufacturing Engineering Role Summary
A Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for conceiving, designing, developing, and installing new products or production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs over time.
* Resolve technical problems and select precision tools for different machines.
* Apply problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques to resolve manufacturing issues.
Key Accountabilities:
* Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
* Lead process optimization using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
* Use industrial engineering techniques and company standards to establish resource requirements and material flow.
* Eliminate inefficiencies in product structures and processes to reduce costs.
* Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing cell performance.
* Ensure compliance with ISO/TS16949 standards in the manufacturing area.
* Maintain adherence to engineering change control, internal gate timing, customer commitments, project budgets, and departmental procedures.
* Evaluate and recommend improvements to quality control processes.
* Analyze and report on production processes, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
* Oversee the work of technicians and all personnel.
* Establish effective work sequences to maximize efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
* Working knowledge of automation and assembly processes, laser welding systems, robotics, automation systems & dispense systems, validation lifecycle, and Six Sigma problem-solving.
* Supervisory experience is an advantage.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
* Proficiency in computer-aided modeling and design software.
* In-depth knowledge of manufacturing production, processes, and equipment.
* Result-oriented approach.
* Knowledge of engineering science.
