We are currently recruiting for the position of Branch Operations Supervisorto join the Credit Union.
This full-time and permanent position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
The Branch Operations Supervisor will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the Branch offices, including the embedding of best practice, dealing with member queries and complaints, assuming responsibility for the implementation of operational training and the identification and implementation of operational efficiencies The Branch Operations Supervisor will ensure that controls are in place to safeguard the health, safety and security of the office, for members, employees and visitors, while also managing operational costs in a proactive manner.
The Branch Operations Supervisor will always act within the policies as laid down by the Board, the governance policies and rules of the credit union, the Credit Union Act, and any other regulations, guidelines and laws in force.
This role will support the Operations Manager in the overall execution of the credit unions operations strategy.
Key Responsibilities: Office Operations Effectively manage and control the day-to-day operations of the offices, ensuring optimum performance and operational cohesiveness within the team Manage the operational value proposition and administrative practices and processes of the offices, implementing plans to meet and exceed outlined targets and KPIs.
Proactively manage the teams tasks, capacity and workload planning, rosters, targets, quality of work and performance, inclusive of team member appraisals.
Effectively coach and manage team members as part of the performance management process, including regular reviews and personal development discussions and planning.
Build an inclusive operational team which all staff feel part of and are kept fully up to date on all key policies changes through regular team briefs with ongoing 2-way communication.
Ensure the MSA team actively promotes all credit union products, services and new initiatives.
Continue to build trusted member relationships through timely, quality communication, managing any escalations and reporting same to the relevant manager.
Contribute to the strategic objectives of the credit union by ensuring the office meets its individual objectives on an annual basis.
Participate in operational meetings with required information and analysis being communicated back to the Operations Manager and branch office staff as appropriate in a timely manner.
Embedding the credit union as the financial service provider of choice within the local community, continuing to reinforce the credit union brand and ethos at every opportunity.
Ensure that controls are in place to safeguard health & safety for the office, security for members, staff and visitors, and operational costs are managed in a proactive manner.
Collaborate with all credit union departments to implement strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency through both existing and new distribution channels.

Role Requirements: A professional financial services qualification, such as a QFA, or a relevant Minimum Competency Qualification, is required.
Ideally, a minimum of 2 years of customer-facing and people management experience, preferably in the credit union, financial services, or similar regulated sectors.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate training expertise, excellent organizational, verbal, numerical, and written skills.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal abilities, including influencing others and establishing effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively when liaising with members face to face, on the phone, and through email is required The ideal candidate would require positive drive and energy to attain results, targets, and KPIs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with adaptability to learn new software, will be required.
The candidate should hold a clean drivers licence and have access to their own transportation for inter-branch travel.
The role requires high standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications & experience.
The role is full-time, 36 hours per week.
