About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial support to projects, including budgeting, reporting, and developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and profit plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Budgeting, reporting, developing BOQ's and profit plans.
* Interim commercial meetings with Client and Internal Project Team. Reporting in detail as required for Project Manager on commercial status of project.
* Subcontractor accounts, interim valuations and final accounts. Payment certificates processed and payments made per agreed sub-contract and procurement terms. Retentions apply as per agreements.
* Administering contract obligations and meeting additional Client requirements. Issue interim and final accounts and progress applications per project and contract requirements. Monthly applications all inclusive of accurate remeasures, site changes, dayworks and any applicable contract claims.
* Prompt reporting of potential commercial risks to Senior Management. Following direction of Senior Management in undertaking work duties.
* Scheduling and associated commercial implications. Close collaboration with Planning Engineer regarding accuracy of progress reporting.
* Costing and agreeing daily work changes. Managing subcontractor remeasurement of contract works, site dayworks and site change orders.
* Accurate records and detailed backup supporting commercial tracking and costing.
* Working on own initiative and prioritising without direction. Speed and accuracy of information a priority. Negotiating with clients or their representatives.
