Financial Excellence Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled financial professional to lead our team in managing the company's financial performance. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in financial management, with expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial software systems, such as accounting packages and project management tools. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and variance analyses.
* Lead the monthly financial close process and present financial information for management and board reporting.
* Produce consolidated financial reports across multiple sites and developments.
* Support annual budgeting and forecasting, monitoring performance against targets and highlighting variances.
* Analyse project costs and support cost-control initiatives.
* Oversee invoice processing, goods received note matching, requisitions, purchase orders, and project valuation billing.
* Manage the full supplier and subcontractor creditor cycle, including payment runs, reconciliations, aged creditor reviews, and retention schedules.
* Ensure compliance with construction-related tax obligations, including RCT, VAT, and subcontractor verification.
* Manage intercompany transactions and reconcile balances across group entities.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A degree in accounting or a related field.
* Professional qualifications, such as ACCA or CIMA.
