About the Company/Position Our client, a large, complex Dublin-based organisation, is seeking an Executive Director of Sport Transformation to lead a landmark change programme.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior appointment will establish a new standalone Sport & Recreation Department and drive strategic, cultural, and capital transformation projects that position sport as a central part of organisation life.
Key Responsibilities Lead the overall vision and transformation of Sport & Recreation in line with institutional strategy.
Oversee the development of new sports facilities and associated capital projects.
Manage senior leaders and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with long-term goals.
Champion a culture that embeds sport, wellbeing, and inclusion across the organisation.
Engage key stakeholders, including external partners, to strengthen the visibility and impact of sport.
Experience/Requirements Extensive senior management experience (10+ years) in sport, transformation, or commercial operations.
Degree in business, sport management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven ability to lead large-scale change and manage multi-million-euro budgets.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in education or public-sector settings advantageous.
