We are currently looking for a General Foreperson or to join our team in Newcastle.Key responsibilities:Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:Ownership of the management of Health and Safety on the project.Understand target delivery programme, weekly reporting of same and active intervention to prevent delays.Attend and assist at daily whiteboard meetings.Continuous inspection of works on site, raising and resolving issues in a timely manner to ensure quality of works. Subcontractor and Supplier ManagementCompletion of daily allocation sheets for site labour and materials.Management of civil engineering and groundworks contractor.Set up and maintain logistics walkways, including vehicle & pedestrian routes.Take control of works from house foundations, through to 1st & 2nd fix including external finishes, paving, boundary walls and landscaping.Effectively manage the movement of labour, machinery, and materials on and off site through site coordination & logistics software.Maintain a secure and safe site through effective Health & Safety practises.Management and coordination of subcontractors and service providers, to ensure timely handover to Finishing Foreman in line with programme requirements.Liaise with the engineering team to ensure waste management records are available and accurate.Instil a best-in-class customer service and experience for all stakeholders and be a strong advocate for the Cairn brand.The Candidate:Trade background preferableAn ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.To have good spoken and written communication skillsTo be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurateTo be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiativeTo be able to co-ordinate a number of different projects at the same time.To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks.Working with Cairn Homes:At Cairn, we believe it is essential that our employees feel valued and appreciated.
