Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer (Beauty & Consumer Brands)
Cpl are partnering with a high-growth consumer brand to appoint a commercially driven Managing Director / Chief Operating Officer to help shape and lead the next stage of the company's growth journey.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader from the skincare, cosmetics, beauty, personal care, or wider consumer products sector to take ownership of business performance while driving brand excellence, customer experience, commercial growth, and operational execution.
The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong understanding of modern brand building, creative direction, omni-channel retail, and commercial performance. They will bring the ability to align multiple departments behind a shared vision while ensuring business decisions are underpinned by data, customer insight, and financial discipline.
This is not a traditional MD role focused solely on operations. Instead, it requires a leader who can bridge brand, creative, digital, customer journey, commercial performance, and business strategy to deliver sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership across the business, ensuring alignment between brand, commercial, digital, creative, customer experience, and operational teams.
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and overall business performance.
Develop and execute strategic growth plans across direct-to-consumer, retail, eCommerce, and wholesale channels.
Champion a customer-first approach, optimising the customer journey across all touchpoints.
Partner closely with creative, marketing, product, and commercial teams to ensure brand consistency and execution excellence.
Leverage customer, sales, and market data to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, commercial planning, and performance management activities.
Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams and leadership capability across the organisation.
Identify opportunities to improve scalability, operational efficiency, and organisational effectiveness.
Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape the long‑term direction of the business.
Requirements
Significant leadership experience within skincare, cosmetics, beauty brand environment.
Proven experience in a Managing Director, COO, General Manager, Commercial Director, Brand Director, Head of Brand, or similar senior leadership position.
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving growth and improving business performance.
Deep understanding of brand strategy, creative leadership, and customer experience.
Experience operating within an omni-channel retail environment.
Highly data-driven with the ability to translate insights into commercial outcomes.
Strong financial and operational management experience, including P&L ownership.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and bring departments together around common objectives.
Entrepreneurial mindset with experience working in fast-paced, high-growth businesses.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
On Offer
Circa €120,000 base salary.
