Financial Reporting Manager

Excellent opportunity to lead our Financial Reporting Team in Dublin. The role is involves leading the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process. It also involves being accountable for processes and controls over financial reporting and having a strong focus on the completeness and accuracy of reported balances.

You will work with key stakeholders across the Ireland and UK&I Finance team and the wider Intact business. You will be an experienced Finance Leader with strong communication and relationship management skills. The role will report into the Director of Finance.

We're looking for a self-motivated qualified accountant who is a great communicator, a team player/manager, and someone who always strives to make things better to join our Financial Reporting team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monthly and Quarterly IFRS Financial reporting process to UK&I region
* Accountable for the process and control environment for IFRS reporting
* Accountable for completeness and accuracy of reported balances
* Managing a team of trainee and qualified accountants to deliver to the Workday timetable and drive transformation of processes, where applicable
* Collaborate with other managers within the Financial Reporting team to drive outperformance and strong teamwork.
* Responsible for prioritisation of work to ensure delivery against the Workday timetable, allocation of work across the team and driving outperformance and a strong performance culture within the team.
* You'll be a driven and motivated team player with a hardworking, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering to a high standard.
* You'll need lots of initiative, an affinity for problem solving as well as an ability to work to set targets and remain calm under pressure.
* You will be able to organise and prioritise your workload and the workload of your direct reports effectively.
* You will need strong attention to detail in order to provide assurance on the completeness and accuracy of reported balances.
* You will be an expert communicator who can relate well to customers and colleagues alike.
* A high level of enthusiasm, resilience and a good sense of fun will stand you in good stead.

Requirements:

* Qualified Insurance Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant Insurance reporting experience
* At least 5 years PQE in the Insurance or financial services sector
* Leadership experience is essential.
* Experience of engagement with senior Finance stakeholders is essential.
* Experience of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel to an expert level
* Finance systems and Insurance systems experience is essential.
* Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
* Experience in SAP or another applicable accounting software
