Service Delivery Manager Cork Bus ireann is seeking experienced and dynamic Service Delivery Managers and People Operations Managersto joinour CorkAreaManagementTeam.We haveseveralopportunities acrossour multi-depot operations in the Cork and Tralee. (Capwell, Tivoli, Tralee). The Service Delivery Manager and People Operations Manager roles are highly interdependent and are required to work in close partnership to ensure seamless operational performance and effective people management within the Cork/Tralee region. Together, both functions will lead on workforce planning, service delivery, attendance, and employee engagement, aligning operational and people objectives. As part of a collaborative leadership team, each role will provide cover and support for the other when needed, ensuring continuous leadership during absences or peak periods. While candidates may have a stronger preference for either Service Delivery Manager or People Operations Manager, the interdependent nature of the role, and the multi-site locations, should allow for candidates to be considered for either role. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Bus ireanns road passenger service operations withinthe assigned depot, ensuring delivery in line with agreed KPIs, contract obligations, and company standards. The role is pivotal in fostering and maintaining a strong safety-first culture, driving continuous improvement in safety systems, procedures, and reporting. Reporting directly to the Senior Regional Operations Manager, the Service Delivery Manager works collaboratively with People Operations Managers and other members of the Regional Team to ensure efficient service delivery and staff management. The position includes direct line management of Service Supervisors and Training Instructors across designated locations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the operational delivery of road passenger services, ensuring all services operate safely, withindrivingregulationsandtheagreedNTAguidelineswithaparticularfocusonreliabilityand punctuality.Partner with the Garage to ensure planned vehicle availability for service delivery. Manage all aspects of local schedule changes to include but not limited to TUG negotiation, bus stops, Driver boards & stakeholders engagement. Activelymanageoperationalissuesincludingincidentmanagementanddriverefficiencytoensure service delivery.Establish and oversee the delivery of driver training requirements in line with regulations and customer standards. Lead the implementation and active management of the Company Health & Safety policies to ensurethesafetyofcustomersandemployees.Ensurecompliancewithalllegislationtoincluding all facets of driving regulations. Support implementation and compliance across all systems to ensure issues are identified and addressed within the shortest time period possible, including telematics, ticketing and Vision. Establish robust local and regional Trade Union relationships, consultation and business processes and represent Bus ireann effectively to maximize the ability for local resolution and change. Actively create open and trusted two-way communications with colleagues in the location/s, to support understanding of the business and change management. Implementandoverseeconsistentprocessestomanagecustomercorrespondenceinlinewiththe Customer Charter, ensuring issues are investigated and responded to within agreed timeframes. Implement corrective action where required. Role model good performance management by adopting a fair and consistent approach in performance management discussions (GPS) with all direct reports. Partner with HR to establish succession planning for direct reports, creating a diverse talent pool for the future. Oversee the investigation of all incidents and collisions in line with agreed procedures, with corrective training and implementation of mitigating measures where necessary. As a member of the Regional Operations Management team role model the Bus ireann values, acting as an ambassador for Bus ireann in local and regional interactions. The position may be required to deputise for colleagues and/or Senior Management.
