Principal DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead automation strategy, define standards, and deliver large-scale improvements across on‑prem and hybrid environments. You’ll be a technical authority driving automation maturity, scalability, and reliability across the organisation.
What you’ll do:
Architect and optimise enterprise CI/CD and IaC frameworks
Design reusable automation blueprints using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
Own strategy for automation, monitoring, and observability across environments
Partner with development leads to align delivery pipelines with engineering standards
Influence the direction of modernisation and private cloud strategy
What you bring:
8+ years in DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineering
Proven expertise in Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and automation frameworks
Strong programming background (Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET)
Deep understanding of VMware, storage, and colocation infrastructure
Experience designing and implementing private cloud solutions
Ability to lead technically and mentor engineers without direct reports
Fully remote within Ireland
Must hold full working rights (EU citizen or Stamp 1G/4).
