We believe that the potential of great people, purpose-driven innovation, and world-class products can shape the future direction of healthcare.Expected TravelUp to 10%Requisition ID12845About Teleflex – Brand & CapabilitiesTeleflex is the home of Arrow, Barrigel, Deknatel, LMA, Pilling, QuikClot, Rüsch, UroLift and Weck – trusted brands united by a common sense of purpose.Position SummaryLead and co-ordinate all activities required for the Value Stream to achieve the business plan requirements for Operations.Principal ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage a high performing operations team for the value streamDrive a culture of continuous improvement using OPEX and Lean Manufacturing principlesDrive employee engagement and motivation, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountabilityAbility to influence cross functional teams & manage relationships with key stakeholdersBuild collaborative relationship with suppliers, customers and key stakeholders in companyAbility to lead large scale organisational changesOrganise resources for the VS, balancing both long term (NRE) and Short Term (Shipping Plan) requirementsCoach & develop leaders in the value stream (production leads / supervisors)Ability to lead the VS in setting strategic goals and priorities, aligning operations strategy with business objectivesDeep understanding of headcount and capacity planning for demand forecastingProactively engage in new product development to ensure a smooth transition into commercial productionOwn and deliver the Safety, Quality, Service and Cost metric for the VSAligns goals and objective setting for the VS in collaboration with senior leadershipManage all performance related matters so that the team achieves the required standardsParticipate in recruitment and selection activities as required by the companyWork with support departments to deliver productivity improvementsResponsible for the Contract Review process for non-Development/Engineering related orders, to ensure that such orders can be processed with optimal efficiency, effectiveness and adherence to customer and quality requirementWork with customer services on provision of information for the purpose of attracting new businessWork with the relevant departments to deal with customer issues surrounding complaints, queries, credit issues, on time delivery and any other production related topics which customers need assistance with from time to timeStrong understanding of medical device regulationsEnsure full compliance with regulatory requirementsEnsure Quality and EHS policies and procedures are adhered to at all timesEducation / Experience RequirementsRelevant third level degreeMinimum of 5 years experience in a similar roleDeep understanding of costs managementUnderstanding of Finance - Profit and LossPlanning and Organisation skills - Planning labour, materials and equipment availabilityUnderstanding of Teleflex Quality systemUnderstand if employment law, natural justice and appreciation of fairnessUnderstanding of employee engagement, motivation and LeadershipBasic understanding of process validations/FMEA\'s and protocolsSpecialized Skills / Other RequirementsPeople – Performance ManagementCoaching and mentoringEmployee DevelopmentClear verbal and written communicationAbility to lead meetingsAbility to work in a cross functional teamAbility to use interpersonal skills to deal successfully with day to day people related issuesInterviewing skillsQualities and Principles of Genuine LeadershipStrategy – Understand the key drivers of our businessUnderstand the impact of their job on the key business driversUnderstand their direct report's impact on the key business driversUnderstanding of other department’s impact on the key drivers and how all departments fit togetherCustomers and Vendors – Ability to understand customer relationshipsAbility to generate appropriate relationships with customersAbility to deal with difficult customers communicationsAbility to influence customers where necessaryAbility to work in a fluid, demanding environmentThorough understanding of Teleflex processes and productsWorking EnvironmentOffice/ProfessionalHiring process and equal opportunity statements are included in the original description; this refined version preserves the required EEO information without adding new content.
