Purpose Statement
Facilitator and project leader responsible for the successful planning, scheduling and completion of multiple value improvement and waste elimination projects to support manufacturing and overhead areas. Provide Industrial Engineering support to critical PMO/NPI projects and manufacturing areas. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, as well as cross-functionally, to improve all aspects of business performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with industrial engineering team, warehouse, production, New Product Introduction, and support functions on Layout design, drawing, and governance.
* Work closely with PMO and NPI teams to provide technical IE and OpEx support to help deliver significant site projects on time
* Provide production lines with technical industrial engineering support to monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement
* Coordinate with leadership to lead highly visible and complex process improvement projects
* Act as a change agent in driving innovation and re-engineering new and existing processes.
* Apply Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies/DMAIC process to improve or solve manufacturing problems and reduce waste.
* Develop creative and innovative solutions to diverse business problems.
* Plan and organise strategic projects.
* Coaching and mentoring of employees at all levels in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools and systems.
* Organize and facilitate training, workshops and kaizens
Education & Experience
* Honours batchelor degree level 8 qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent education.
* 3-4 years’ experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma within an operational environment.
* Experience in managing continuous improvement/DMAIC projects from planning to execution.
* Highly skilled in data analytics and reporting
* Experience in Change Management and/or Project Management a distinct advantage
* Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes cGMP, industry regulations, process development and new product introduction.
* Skilled in in business intelligence, statistical analysis and workflow automation tools and applications, with the ability to present complex data to leadership.
* Lean six sigma green belt or equivalent is preferred.
