Role Summary We are looking for a dedicated Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer & Compliance Support to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory Affairs, this role plays a key part in developing, implementing, and overseeing the credit unions Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) and broader compliance frameworks. The position ensures adherence to relevant legislation, including the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010, and acts as a central point of contact for AML and compliance-related queries. In addition to AML responsibilities, the role supports the implementation and monitoring of the credit unions overall compliance framework, helping ensure that all operations align with legal and regulatory obligations. The role involves delivering compliance training, maintaining regulatory documentation and promoting a strong culture of compliance throughout the organisation. Key Requirements & Qualifications QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser), compliance, financial services qualification or AML qualification is desirable. Experience working in the financial sector or other sector that involves anti-money laundering compliance as relevant to this role. Working knowledge in AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism) compliance. Capable of preparing detailed reports and assessments An understanding of AML/CFT Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking Ability to work independently and proactively, while collaborating with the wider compliance and management teams.
