Inspire Credit Union Limited was formed out of the recent merger of Bishopstown Credit Union and Cobh Credit Union.
Role:Inspire Credit Union Limited are seeking to appoint Member Service Representatives.
Location:Inspire Credit Union are seeking candidates where the role will primarily be based out of both the Bishopstown and Cobh offices, noting that candidates will need to be available to work from either our Bishopstown or Cobh Offices.
Contract:Permanent contract, subject to a 6-month probation period.
Job Purpose: Delivering an excellent member experience by providing an efficient face-to-face, telephone, online, and email service to members while adhering to service level standards and compliance.
All services to members are provided in accordance with policy, procedure, governance, security, and compliance requirements.
Duties will include: Provide exemplary customer service to all Inspire Credit Union members and potential new members by effectively resolving member queries the first time, leading to the minimisation of referring issues to other departments for resolution.
The provision of service in person, by phone, online, and via digital channels to members; Handling all transactions and counter procedures confidentially and professionally.
Processing members' payments through the computerised member accounting system.
Handling of cash float and balancing of all cash handled with transactions processed, and applying all best practices and policies in connection with this.
Issuing loans and share withdrawals to members Taking applications for opening accounts from new and existing members, ensuring all correct documentation is provided.
Maintaining the banking hall and counter area in a tidy and professional manner.
Any other duties that may be required on a day-to-day basis, as advised by the Line Manager.
Keep up to date on promotional initiatives and new products and services being implemented within the credit union.
Promote a culture that reflects the Credit Unions values and encourages good performance and excellent member services.
Promote Inspire Credit Union services and products, and inform prospective Members of the benefits of membership Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; Maintain confidentiality of member information and ensure data security.
Requirements Relevant third-level qualification or QFA desirable; Previous Credit Union experience or active knowledge of the credit union sector is desirable.
Relevant experience in financial services and or lending an advantage.
Very strong communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to work in a team and communicate with all stakeholders; Active listening skills to accurately respond to inquiries and requests; Demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills; Must be detail-oriented and well-organised with a professional phone manner; Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude to change; Productive work habits, time management, workload management, and priority setting in line with quality decision-making; Excellent written, presentation, and oral communication skills with exacting attention to detail; Strong IT skills required.

Minimum Competency Requirements Minimum competency requirements will apply to the role, with the selected candidates required to either have minimum competency qualification or agree to work toward the completion of a minimum competency qualification.
Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
