Role Summary
This role is for a highly skilled and experienced workshop supervisor / controller with a strong background in a main dealer workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating a team, ensuring quality control through inspections and audits, and meeting business targets. Key duties include supervising staff, performing quality checks, managing production flow, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and continuously improving workshop efficiency. The role requires excellent communication, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the company's reputation. A full clean driving licence and proficiency in MS Office are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
Supervising Workshop Staff
Performing quality inspections through various stages of repair
Performing final quality audits on completed vehicles
Meeting business targets & KPI’s agreed with your manager.
Promoting and enhancing the company’s reputation by ensuring that all contact with customers is maintained at the highest professional level.
Work as part of a team and assist colleagues willingly as necessary
Contribute to harmonious working relations at all times
Develop team skills in all areas of the workshop activity.
Ensure all reports are transmitted timely and accurately.
Inform or elevate any serious problems as they arise to the Operations Manager so that they may be addressed immediately.
Efficient flow of production through the Workshop.
Ensure parts, consumables and equipment are available and serviced.
Ensure adequate resources for training are in place and required training is carried out to meet normal and seasonal demand.
Communicate daily/weekly schedules, deadlines and priorities to staff.
Ensure adherence and compliance to all technical, quality, health and safety and environmental processes, policies and procedures to 5’S and ISO standards.
Monitor and report on workshop performance.
Ensure best practice is utilised and continually improved in terms of health and safety, environment, quality, and efficiency.
Manage staff, review performance regularly and take appropriate action when performance exceeds or fails to meet standards, policies, procedures or legislation.
Ensure the proper maintenance of all plant and equipment, in conjunction with the Health and Safety Team.
Qualifications & Experience
Supervisory experience in a workshop environment
Qualified Technician with certs
Main dealer experience preferred
Able to motivate and manage a team
Able to work with deadlines
Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and driven
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Great attention to detail and appreciate quality
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (an honest communicator)
Proficient in MS Office software
Ability to plan and prioritise effectively
Lead by example and willing to support your team in a ‘hands on’ manner
Practical approach to problem solvingFull clean driving licence
