Quality Assurance Specialist
Description:
This role involves overseeing quality systems and procedures to ensure they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* System Maintenance: Regularly update, implement, and maintain food quality and safety systems to guarantee compliance with BRC and customer regulations.
* Internal Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits to verify that systems adhere to required standards and specifications.
* Documentation Control: Ensure accurate documentation and data control of all manuals and records related to quality management.
* CAPA Management: Develop and implement corrective actions (CAPAs) and preventive measures to address any issues arising from audits or inspections.
* HACCP Review: Periodically review the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
* Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships with customer technical contacts to understand their needs and expectations.
* SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT: Assess and approve suppliers based on their ability to meet quality standards.
* Audit Participation: Participate actively in customer audits and visits to demonstrate our commitment to quality.
* Mass Balance/Traceability Exercises: Support and contribute to Mass Balance/Traceability exercises as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a relevant field.
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC within the food manufacturing environment.
* Self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
