Job Title: Senior Accountant, SME Practice Location: Kilkenny (Hybrid, ideally three days onsite) Contract: Full-time, permanent Salary: DOE Overview: FRS Recruitment is partnering with a long-established SME accountancy practice with a strong and diverse client base. Due to continued growth, the practice is seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of a portfolio and support year-end accounts, tax compliance and advisory tasks. The role suits a qualified or strong part-qualified accountant with solid Irish practice experience. Responsibilities: * Manage a portfolio of SME, sole trader and agri clients * Prepare and finalise year-end financial statements * Complete income tax, corporation tax and VAT returns * Support management accounts where needed * Provide guidance to junior team members * Maintain compliance with accounting and tax standards * Liaise directly with clients on queries and deadlines Requirements: * ACA, ACCA, CPA or strong part-qualified with extensive practice background * Minimum three to four years' Irish practice experience * Strong Irish GAAP and tax knowledge * Ability to work onsite three days per week * Strong communication and client management skills If you are qualified and interested in this role - please apply with yur most recent CV to Bernadette Sisson for immediate consideration.
