Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support, enhance, and optimize our production operations. This role is key in developing efficient manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products in a safe, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant environment. This is a full-time, on-site position. Occasional travel to suppliers or customers may be required. Competitive salary plus Pension: Company will match up to 4% of contributions. Annual Leave: 21 days (increasing after 5 years of service). Additional Benefits: Eligibility for the Shared Value Plan after two years’ service.
Key Responsibilities
Process Design & Implementation
Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes and systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
Create and maintain standard work instructions.
Ensure manufacturability using DFM/DFMA principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with R&D, Production, Quality, and other internal teams to support seamless product development and manufacturing.
Support and maintain compliance with ISO 13485 and GMP standards, as well as ISO 14001 environmental requirements.
Cost & Workflow Optimization
Conduct cost and time analyses to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Develop production layouts that streamline workflow and minimize waste.
Quality & Compliance
Evaluate and enhance quality control processes to ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and new product introduction initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Support
Analyze production data and provide actionable insights and reports to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Equipment & Maintenance Support
Coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Health, Safety & Environmental Stewardship
Uphold and promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance across all production activities.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
Proficiency with CAD and CAM software.
Experience with robotics/automation integration.
Practical understanding of FMEA methodologies.
Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and new product introduction.
Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration and reporting.
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is required.
