Position Summary
Responsible for identifying and winning new business through key account management and prospecting for new business.
Develop a knowledge and understanding of trends in medical device, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic industries, as well as sourcing practices of our current and potential Customers.
Assess test requirements, methods, Customer specifications, and information supplied, in conjunction with other team members, to ensure successful project management and delivery.
This is a technical sales role.
Duties
1. Understand Customers’ requirements and devise appropriate solutions.
2. Meet with existing and potential Customers to increase awareness of STERIS services.
3. Utilize Salesforce CRM system to track opportunities.
4. Support the team with problem solving and training activities.
5. Liaise with other divisions to create continuous improvement opportunities.
6. Support marketing and outreach programs.
7. Report on sales activity.
8. Stay informed about current industry standards (e.g., ISO 11607, MDR, IEC 60601).
9. Attend trade shows, conferences, and events as necessary.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrable relevant business experience.
Required Experience
* Relevant degree or business experience.
* Ability to influence across functions and companies to achieve objectives.
* Ability to network internally and externally with Customer organizations and service providers.
* Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the business and working with global counterparts.
* High attention to detail.
* Ability to project manage.
