We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Officer - Financial Reporting to join our Client's Finance Department.
Working with a well -known Organisation that plays a key role in providing a variety of services and supports to a vast amount of individuals with an intellectual disability or autism and also support for their families.
This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and effective operation of financial processes within the organisation.
The successful candidate will take ownership of key financial tasks, including monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and contribute to accurate and timely management reporting.
Key Responsibilities Balance Sheet Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in collaboration with the Financial Accountant.
Banking & Cashflow Maintain register of bank accounts and manage related administration.
Complete monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts.
Monitor cashflow to meet organisational requirements.
Credit/Purchasing Cards Maintain register of VISA Purchasing Cards.
Manage card issuance and cancellations.
Process and review VISA statements and confirmations.
Accounts Payable & Procurement Support implementation of National Procurement Contracts.
Prepare compliance monitoring and statutory reports.
Assist Accounts Payable as required.
Finance Department Cover Provide cover for Accounts Officer and Financial Accountant during absences.
Other Duties Participate in special projects.
Provide guidance on finance issues to administrative staff.
Represent the organisation on national working groups.
Support Head of Finance and Finance Operations Manager with ad hoc tasks.
Eligibility Criteria Essential: Significant experience in: Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Purchasing card administration Monthly financial reporting Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
High level of initiative, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Honest, trustworthy, and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable: Level 6 qualification in Accounting or Business.
Experience with statutory audits.
Skills & Competencies Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong analytical, numeracy, and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage resources and prioritise workload effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
