Purpose of the Job
With general guidance from functional management, responsible for providing team leadership to a group of employees committed to increased quality and productivity.
Supports demand of the business unit.
Identifies and analyses problems, plans tasks and solutions.
Provides guidance to team on development, performance and productivity issues.
Reports to functional and/or organization management on team accomplishments, achievements and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Implement a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements and coordinating with Operations Management and Planning Schedulers.
Monitor daily work operations and provide support to team members.
Develop your team through training and assigning progressively more challenging tasks.
Develop feasibility and execute continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency or remove waste from the process.
Interact with key stakeholders: Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain, EHS, Operations Management, Finance & Operations Excellence.
Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
Develop work schedule for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources.
Education and Skills
Level 7 qualification and related work experience.
Prior people management experience is highly desirable.
