We are conveniently located next to the Airport and just five minutes from the M1 and M50.We are recruiting for a Reception Supervisor.The Front Office Department at the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport is the main liaison point between guests and the Hotel, as well as working closely with other Hotel departments. Activities such as check ins/check outs, guest requests, and concierge services are handled here. The Front Desk operation has a significant bearing on our guests' impression of the Hotel, so everything must always be at its very best.We are recruiting for an experienced Reception Supervisor to join our busy Front Office Team. You will be genuinely caring and have very strong organisational and interpersonal skills, key to this important customer-facing role. We are offering you:A wonderful place to work, with great colleaguesA competitive salaryFree meals while on dutyUniformAn IHF-sponsored Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)Free car parking (parking while on holidays if travelling from Dublin Airport)Free shuttle to and from Dublin Airport for employees whose bus goes to the AirportEmployee engagement initiatives – Christmas Party, Summer BBQ, Pride celebrations, etc.Training and development – opportunities for internal and external trainingAnnual Tax-saver and Bike to Work scheme offered to all eligible employeesHealth-related benefits after the qualifying period of serviceSpecific responsibilities in this role include:Welcoming and checking in guestsChecking out departing guests, ensuring all charges are properly processedDealing efficiently and politely with all guest enquiries and feedbackGeneral switchboard duties including taking of reservationsLiaising with other Departments as requiredProvision of excellent hospitality and guest serviceFully participating as a member of the Departmental Management Team, assisting the FOM if/as requiredImplementing and overseeing costs control measuresIdeally, bringing forward initiatives and innovations for considerationEnsuring that you maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct at all times, leading by exampleAdhering to our health & safety training, policies, and proceduresEngaging in planning activities as requiredDelivering (documented) training as required, in accordance with the Hotel's standardsSupervising service, ensuring that we endeavour to offer excellent customer service at all timesProviding mentoring, support and encouragement to the TeamConducting counselling sessions if/as requiredBeing fully familiar with our products and servicesSuccessful applicants must:Ideally, have at least two years of previous, relevant, Front Office Supervisory experience within the Hotel sectorDemonstrate a willingness to learn, as training will be providedHave a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your workHave excellent presentation, motivation, and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate the highest level of attention to detailBe able to work hands-on, as part of a Team or on your own initiativeBe fully computer literate (MS Office)Possess excellent written and spoken English for this key customer-facing roleIdeally, have good working knowledge of reception software (we use MEWS). This would be a distinct advantage but full training will be providedBe flexible as regards shift work patterns (as our operation covers Monday to Sunday, early morning to late evening)Have a good standard of health / level of fitness, and be capable of, and comfortable with, physical activityJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €29,000.00-€30,000.00 per yearAbility to commute/relocate:Cloghran, Dublin, CO.
