Sigmar are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established company within the commercial laundry sector. This role will suit someone coming from either an electrical or mechanical background who enjoys a mix of hands‑on technical work and customer interaction.
The position will involve servicing equipment, troubleshooting issues, supporting installations and working closely with customers across a range of sites throughout Ireland.
Key responsibilities
Service, maintenance and repair of commercial laundry equipment
Fault finding and troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical systems
Supporting equipment installations and process improvements
Carrying out routine quality and performance checks
Managing and planning service visits across customer sites
Preparing service reports and supporting customer review meetings
Working closely with customers to resolve technical issues quickly
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across customer operations
Requirements
Experience in a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar role
Electrical or mechanical background
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused with strong communication skills
Good organisation and time management skills
Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland with occasional overnight stays
